Yea, I tried that one too. Looked good.

The free one only gets 1 tab. That's it.

So, unfortunately, the free won't work.

Thanks though

Well, I guess they move this option to PRO version. It was in free early. Try next plugin https://booster.io/features/woocommerce-custom-product-tabs/

If it will not work, we will try to add this option in our bundled RH woo tool plugin

I hope that's right! But, I think I've not been clear.

I am using the Custom Tabs plugin for some of my Product. The thing is, it only seems to work in two ways.

1 - I can create a Tab on the Product page. This tab is for that page only.

2 - I can create 'global' tab. This tab can be available on any product page. This is almost perfect. Problem is, I need to select the Tab on New Products before it is available. It is not automatically 'active' on newly created products.

#2 was the first thing I tried to do. I set it so someone can use the Frontend Form to add content to a custom field. Then, I added the shortcode for the custom field to the 'global' custom tab. But, when a new product listing was created from the frontend, the custom tabs didn't automatically 'activate'. So, the content in the custom field didn't show in the listing.

Hopefully, that is more clear.

Is there a way to make the 'global' custom fields to automatically activate in newly created product listings? Even better, is it possible to do this with certain tabs activating in certain categories and other tabs activating in other categories?

I couldn't find a way to do this without paying for a Pro plugin. Even then, I'm not 100% sure it would work. The only thing I could think would work for sure is to do something like what you did with the image gallery and videos fields.

Anyway, please let me know if I'm missing something. Maybe it's something simple I missed or something that can make it work.

I think you made Layout Tabs. I think it comes with Specifications. Not sure how I added it. It was while following a tutorial. The Layout Tabs works great with the traditional Product page layouts. I think its main purpose is to make better-looking tabs. But, it doesn't work if I use a product page layout like Full Width Photo. It adds the tabs to the description area. Also, it always makes actual tabs.

Thanks

This is not true. We use custom tab plugin on demo site and we use free
version. Please install it and use. There are also some other free plugins
for the same purpose. Also, what is layout tabs?

Hi,

I read those before. I don't think they are answering the problem.

The custom tabs won't work unless I buy the premium version.

I was hoping the code I sent would work something like your image and video fields do. If someone adds images or video in the frontend form it automatically creates tabs with the content. If they don't, it doesn't.

Too bad the Layouts tabs get added to the description area instead of the main tabs. It would be perfect if it was added to the main tabs on all the product layouts.

Anyway, I couldn't find anything in the docs so if the code won't work...

Hi

I don't have a problem yet. I want to avoid creating a problem.

I'm setting up the frontend submission forms to create product page listings. I wanted to add some custom fields to the submission form. I installed ACF plugin (free not pro), and am able to connect the frontend form to the custom fields.

However, I can't find anything in the Rehub docs (or elsewhere) that will make the custom field automatically become product Tabs. I found some plugins but I need to pay to have them category specific.

I found some code that I think will do what I want. I think this code will automatically create product page Tabs when content is added to the ACF custom fields.

I have the Grandchild Plugin installed.

My questions:

First, do you recommend another way?

If not, will this code work?

Do copy it into the Grandchild plugin? Or, do I add the files to the theme folder as instructed?

Thanks

Chris
