If you want to disable shadows 

.rh-shadow4{box-shadow:none !important}

add to theme option = general - custom css

I am not sure what you mean because carousel module doesn't have background color at all and you missed to send link on page

 Dear Team,

I'm having a trouble with the "Woo commerce product carousel", I've changed the background color of the widget to #F8F8F8 to have the same color as the Page background.

yet it's changing to another darker color. I've attached a screenshot along with the color picker
