How can I remove the category base from the additional blog/news area post permalinks?  I set the custom permalink slug for Blog Category to "." and it changes the permalink, but it just redirects to my homepage.

I'm using RankMath to strip the category base from my regular posts but it's not changing the additional custom post type.
