if you use Dokan, you can enable contact widget on store page. For other
plugins, Buddypress is used

Historically those two links did show on my detailed product page. Has something changed on theme with updates that buddpress and contact plugin is now required to display that info?

Because you have no Buddypress on site and no contact widget
