I figured it out with the help of the previous response.  ReHub needs to be updated. 

I installed the envato market theme that updates the rehub theme and plugin.

i followed the instructions here and it worked:

I have the same problem. The Publish or Update button doesn't work is constantly grey out. I have to save it as a draft & then go to e.g. Products and publish them from Quick Edit.

Purchase ReHub theme last May. Seems like a recent update stopped my wordpress editor from being able to update. I deativated all plugins and found the rehub plugins to seem to be the cause.
