Products on sale mean that products with sale price will be displayed so
it’s not clear which problem you have

When using your carousel widget in elementor, the one showing products, and define it to only show products on sale, it shows products with regular and sale price. What might cause the issue. 

short description is for full view. You can use Full description to hide
content.
